French oysters have been contaminated by norovirus. A RASFF [Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed] alert has been published, amounting to three Virus alerts since early January 2015, only for Norovirus in mollusks.
Belgium, Italy and France were the three countries where the norovirus contaminated oysters have been shipped to.
In 2014, French oysters were also implicated in four different norovirus alerts and information through the RASFF platform.
