The 109-page report found that 89 per cent of those surveyed are
"moderately confident" in the food system. Quebecers and residents of
British Columbia have the least confidence in the system, while people
in Saskatchewan and Manitoba have the most confidence.
"There are
concerns that the Canadian food safety system is over-burdened and there
is some confusion among Canadians about how the system works," the
report stated among its conclusions.
