Norovirus Confirmed in Williamson Co.

According to Williamson County Health Department, there have been several confirmed cases of norovirus reported.

Noroviris causes “stomach flu” and is very contagious.

Georgetown ISD is urging people to stay at home if they are considered contagious to prevent the spread of the norovirus in the school. A person is considered contagious if they are running a fever of 100.4 or more, have diarrhea and or are vomiting.

Children who are ill with the noroviris should not attend daycare or school and adults who are ill should not attended events or situations where they could spread the illness.
