Registered nurse Kathy Boroff said she suspects the norovirus swept through Remington Heights Retirement Community in Omaha last week, though no one was tested. Because it is a short-term bug, most people do not see a doctor. If they do, doctors rarely test for it because the treatment for norovirus is no different from the treatment for other gastrointestinal illnesses.
