Food safety specialists pass word after norovirus outbreak | The Chronicle Herald

The virus, which is extremely common, causes irritation of the stomach and intestines. Symptoms usually include vomiting, diarrhea and stomach cramps. The illness usually begins suddenly and lasts one to three days.
Public health officials are now aware of 38 cases of suspected norovirus connected to The Bicycle Thief, said Carmen MacKenzie, a public health spokeswoman with Capital Health.
