What are water borne diseases?
As the name suggests, a disease that is transmitted by a bacteria or  virus present in water is known as a water bourne disease. In the  monsoons, there is a marked increase of flies, runoff from overflowing sewers,  and added pollutants found from open defication and improper disposal  of garbage that increase the risk of such diseases being spread.
