FDA proposed rules aim to stem outbreaks like hepatitis A linked to Oregon company

The Food and Drug Administration proposed two sweeping new rules on Friday designed to stem food poisoning outbreaks like the hepatitis A infections traced to a frozen berry mix packaged in Oregon.

Townsend Farms sued : Hepatitis A outbreak

Seattle-based Marler Clark, the nation’s leading law firm representing victims of foodborne illness, has filed 17 lawsuits against Townsend Farms, the Oregon company whose frozen berry and pomegranate seed blend has been identified as the source of a hepatitis A outbreak among 100 residents of 7 states.
