The Second Oman Food Safety Conference stressed on the critical importance of food safety, apart from discussing the challenges to improve food safety.
International and national experts at the conference were unanimous on the need to enhance awareness among the public on the regulations on food safety.
Ahmed Saleh Baabood, executive chairman of OITE, said that the conference hopes to help improve the food safety systems in Oman and look at the opportunities to collaborate with countries implementing the best food safety systems.
