Hepatitis A virus monitored y Health authorities

Health authorities are closely monitoring cases of Leptospirosis and Hepatitis A in parts of Ba.
Ba advisory Councillor, Viam Pillay says the government has given the team a lot of strength following a visit to Ba by Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama recently.
Pillay is calling on NGOs and voluntary organizations to assist in their efforts to contain the number of water borne diseases in the area.
The government has placed 48 water tanks in the areas that were supplied contaminated water from a private source.
